MP8640 Projector

Hey guys,

I have a 3M MP8640 Projector that when I turn it on and the image is pojected, there's big specks all over that looks like dirt on the lens but i cleaned the lens so does anyone have any ideas?

it sounds like you need a new bulb

That or you need to check your source cables to make sure there isn't anything going on with the connectivity.

There's no source, this is just with the power cable in and the projector switched on, I sent a query to 3M about it so I might ask them about a new bulb. It is pretty old so the bulb is the last thing I can think of if the lens is totally clean.

im thinking the inside of the lens is dirty, because if the bulb was blown you wouldnt get anything. Your video converter might have gone bad but i have never seen anything like this and i repair alot of things.

im thinking the inside of the lens is dirty, because if the bulb was blown you wouldnt get anything. Your video converter might have gone bad but i have never seen anything like this and i repair alot of things.

What has video conversion got to do with anything, I've already said it multiple times, in those pictures all I have plugged in is the power.
