« on: February 01, 2008, 06:08:09 PM »
Let me just say first off that i can't tap for :censored: lol but heres some videos just showing how its done.

For those who dont know this is John Myung bassist for progressive metal band dream theater, he has studied music at university and really knows music and lives it. He uses tapping on his 6 string basses he uses in most songs and also on an instrument called the chapman stick (not shown) which can have anywhere up 18 strings i think.

This bassist is John Entwistle from the who, he innovated a faster form of tapping

I think it sounds awesome but just cant do it, who here can?

Im learning tapping/slap bass atm. Its hard. Plus, being a left-handed bassist is annoying.
