Daedalus R13 1.50 crash when running Goldeneye.
« on: July 28, 2008, 02:01:18 PM »
The game starts, and slowly locks up. I tried increasing CPU frequency on my PSP to 333MHz, but nothing. Any ideas why?

downgrade to any 3xx firmware all of them are more compatible 4.01m33 isnt much compatible with some stuff because most of the homebrew uses 3xx kernel but 4.01m33 works on 4xx kernel ... its not much different but still i think thats what the reason is.....

thanks chase for this sig =)

There is a beta for R14, google it, and just try messing with your settings. Have you got Majora's Mask working on yours? I have seen it on you tube but on mine the farthest I have got it to go is just after I start a new game, before the opening video. I don't mind too much lag just tell me the settings you have used.

there is a list of compatible roms here

http://www.psprl.it/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=42&topic=13969.msg164962

The Ones in Red = Not Compatible
The Ones in Green = Crashes sometimes (29%-89% of the time)
The Ones in Blue = Working (90+% of the time)

Yeaa. I find that N64 Emulators are sooo bad. *sigh too bad they wont come out with a better version. And in R14Beta (no official yet) there is only slight changes =[

  "News on the homebrew front! A beta has been released for Daedalus R14, the Nintendo 64 emulator for the Sony PSP. This update doesn't come from StrmnNrmn though, but from developer Wally of Homebrew Heaven.

The program is based on StrmnNrmn's latest SVN source, and features the beginnings of Media Engine support. It might still be too early to hope for an official release, but hey, we have the beta. That's good news all around. Here are the developer's notes from Wally:

Some changes are :

    * A bit of ME support
    * A tad faster
    * A bit buggier.
    * New Icons etc

Known issues:

    * Debug menus popup - these are bypassable by pressing the SQUARE button and shouldn't be very often."

Downgrading will make no difference on the speed of the program lol. Your best bet is to try and overclock you psp over the 333mhz but that can burn out your psp over time so isnt really recomended
