Psp Speakers wired to iPod Headphones

So i read PvP's thread, and wanted to try something out for myself. I wanted to cut an ipod headphone wire, and connect the wires to my psp speakers.

I cut the wire, and for 4 seperate wires. Red, Green, Gold, Red/Green

I connected it to my psp speaker but sound wont come. Anyone know how ill work? Please help, thanks.

Alright i soldered the wires to my kyar wire.

I hooked them up to PSP speakers, but its HELLA soft, i need it louder help please thanks
