another thing that i have done in the past...remove the network/memstick cards...clean the connector that connects them VERY WELL... and VERY CAREFULLYwhen i took apart my original psp (release date one) to give it a nice cleaning (wasnt too dirty) i had some dust in the connector that either shorted it or didnt allw it to have the correct contact with the motherboard....it was causing a similar problem.check it....
