Need Help: PSP D-Pad LED Mod
« on: February 19, 2008, 01:56:19 AM »
If I have a black psp, can I get D-Pad buttons to glow blue with LEDs and not the surrounding. So I only want the bottoms to glow and not the faceplate. I hope you guys understand what I am trying to say.  You know how on a clear psp, the D-Pad section of the faceplate glows instead of the buttons itself? Basically, I want the buttons to glow and not the faceplate...

I understand.

I am actually on my psp and studying for my biology but I don't seemed to be studying. Having a psp is so distracting.

EDIT: I was browsing acidmods and I realized that the PSP in the acidmods' banner is exactly what I want to do.

For some reason this feels like a deja vu. Anyways, are you sure that I can fit LEDs into the O and X?

Is this a good answer to your question?

Oh damn that is hawt!!! Got a tutorial?

EDIT: Actually, I only want to see your LED layout. Like how you placed them. Did you use 6 LEDs in total? Also how did you get your  power, ms, and wifi LEDs to be blue?

make a hole in the buttons and put some SMD LED's in there, those should work, juts be carefull that they don't hinder the pressing of the buttons.

Okay, I have finally got my paypal account working. It was such a pain trying to get my institution number and transit number from my bank. The bank didn't even know what paypal was.

Anyways where can I buy these LEDs and resistors?

radioshack, ebay and many other places. Use 0603 smt leds, the resistor size changes due to where you pick to wire them.
