It's finally here!! The much anticipated update for the PlayStation Portable is now out. PSP developer, Dark_AleX has just released their newest custom firmware 4.01 M33. Wait what? Yea that's right, 4.01 not 4.00. With this update it brings all of Sony's newest additions and much more.
Changes:
- Bug fix: vshmenu didn't let change camera mode due to camera_plugin using select button.
Fixed, now vsh menu will not be loaded when using the camera.
- Recovery can now be translated, See how below. Translation to spanish is autoincluded.
- Updated the M33 SDK with a new function and sample, and released the psp-packer tool to
compress prx's and PBP's in the ~PSP format.
- The folder of 4.01 and higher homebrew will be GAME4XX so it won't need change on update.
The dev also mentions in his readme, the following "1.50 kernel addon for fat will be released this evening or this night." So did he change his mind? Will at least its good news for all of you who were worried of losing their 1.50 kernel support.
This update DA also brings a new PSP SDK for 4.01 M33. Included is "PSP Packer" which is a tool to compress prx's and pbp's.
You may update your PSP via the Network Update icon on your PSP through a wi-fi hotspot. Or alternatively download the update from the link below, which also includes the new PSP SDK from Dark_AleX. Also be sure to check out the readme(s) included with the files.
Enjoy everyone!!
