PS3 is :censored: help PLEASE

My ps3 comes on but no picture or sound. I tried reset and after that the controller will not connect even when plugged in the usb!!!! there is also no warranty. Please help asap.

You tried checking the AV cable? Then usign a different controller? Try to do that and any other things that make be from a simple problem. If there's no warranty, it gives you a perfect reason to whip out a multimeter and check the connectivity on the controller port, or sell it as-is

the controller works. the av cables work. i dont want to sell it. 
please someone give me good help. not obvious statements.

push down on the av cable and move it around. the connector must be loose and not touching each other

Turn off PS3
Turn on PS3 with power button, holding it for 5 secs.

This will reset the output settings, which is what has been mucked up.

It May Be A Problem With The Cable Itself
