wifi malfunction need help
« on: March 29, 2008, 06:10:02 PM »
one of my friends bought a psp and the browser doesn't work

when you try and open the browser it just opens up for a second then it sends you back to home screen

he wants me to fix it but hes too much of a little  :censored: to take his psp apart

any ideas?

he still has the warranty sticker but he doesn't know how to send it to the sony company to get it fixed

sounds  like more of a software failure. try reflashing the psp.

That used to happen on mine because my home button was stuck down.

Otherwise, it could be a software issue.

You could test the home button by starting a game and seeing whether it returns home. Otherwise reflash it (downgrade, upgrade)

its not the home button it's the whole internet thing cause when he trys to update it everyone knows that you need internet connection well when he goes to the update icon on the left of the home screen it kicks him back so its not the browser or the home bar it just doesn't let him connect or scan for connection i think he might have a virus or sumthing :dntknw: but if he does cant he just pull out the little battery thats behind the mobo and hope everything gets erased

the psp is not a pc
so it cant have virusses, because there arent any virusses (only brickers *remembers the fake 2.0 downgrader)

back ontopic
reflash the psp using pandora or a downgrader (or recovery if you have already installed cfw)

To all of you crying about lag and kicks, remember… when Jesus died, took him 3 days to respawn. Now THAT is lag.
