what could we adapt this to be used with and how dose it work maybe a wireless mic and heaphones for psp? parts needed?

his discription
Wireless Ear Device (WED) that uses the magnetic field to produce a connection between the necklace and the ear piece.

Using the Right Hand Rule, the magnetic field is directed upwards (towards the head) into the ear piece.

This is one half of our presentation-the second half is us delivering the presentation in class. Total cost of the project was 310USD. Patent Pending. Rights reserved to University of Minnesota, Department of Physics.

Hope this educates you.

Ok, it's just a smaller version of a Nikola Tesla Patent application...

dont try and sound smart about that. he just used the principle to make it. i wonder where he got the inductor to create it. the psp uses a amperage so its a André-Marie Ampère Patent application if you want to make it sound more technical

All electrical components use amperage....  Yes you are right he did use the principles of it, the exact principles of a Tesla patent application...  (by the way, linking to a wikipedia page doesn't exactly prove your point...)

no i was correcting him, its not called 'a tesla patent application' and i dont think its ever been called that- its called an induction device. googling this:
Tesla invented the polyphase induction motor, which is still the standard for AC powered appliances of all sorts (they have no brushes or sliding contacts, and so require almost no maintenance).
so from my understanding, tesla only made this primarily to be used for motors which used electricty to spin a magnet so you can get some spinning action in that motor but from my readings it says nothing about broadcasting sound waves which is what he did. am i rhgt?

Yes you are right about the poly-phase induction motor, but Tesla had many more patents than just that.  And this doesn't broadcast sound, it is a short range magnetic fluctuation...  Think of it like this:

In a speaker you have a coil, this coil is connected to the cone, when electricity passes through the coil, it vibrates the cone and thus creates the sound...  Now in this case there are essentially two coils, one is wired (the necklace) and one is not (ear bud), when the wired coil creates the magnetic fluctuation the un-wired coil picks up the fluctuation and vibrates the cone.  This same principal can be done with any energy that has the ability to travel distances, radio waves, light waves, and a slew of others.  In fact Tesla's original patent used radar, in order to power electric airplanes via long distances.  The East Germans used lasers bounced off of windows to monitor conversations inside the rooms via long distances (of course within line of sight).  Anyone with the most basic of understanding of these applications could tweak them for their own means, so I said it was just a smaller version of a Tesla Patent application...
