Trigger mod question

     Hey im kinda new here and im looking for sme advice. The nly nod i have done to my pspwas the USB charge mod. Now i want t d the trigger mod with the lights. I a;ready know where to get a tut for that but there is one problem. I obviousely wouldent want the lights on all the time. Heres where the problem is, i dont know where would be a good place to put a switch. I was thinking inside the battery cmpartment, but that means making a spot for it in there. Not to hard, but more than i wanted to do.
     I also am thinking of putting it n the hld switch like so many people have done. But i dont knw how. So if you knw a tut fr that part, it would be great if you would reply here.

ok one last question. If i use smd leds, would it work to wire them directly to the psp speakers or do i need an amp of some sort?

if you dont wana make a hole u can wire to the hold switch or you can place a dip where the ir port is (thought this may require sanding)

Thanks so far yur the only person to respond. I Thought about that but i realized i wanted my psp to look all stock from the outside. thats why i wanted to put the switch somewhere hidden. I just need a tut on how to wire it for the hold switch.

you can direct connect to the speakers with your leds but you will get a constant glow from the speakers getting some constant current

will I still get a constant glow if I use one of those tiny amps?

Yes, you will still get a constant glow. The constant glow can be removed with other resistors but I don't know which ones.

yup you could get all those parts locally if you look hard enough

fry's gots the leds
and radioshack has the wire but u have to order it i know that sucks idk if frys gots it tho i would check
