Psp Backlight Problem
« on: May 29, 2008, 04:47:20 PM »
okay so after screwing up my backlight ribbon ive been trying to remove the backlight from the LCD and i finnally managed to do so, and i even managed to finda replacement backlight but...i dont think its for a slim :'(
look http://www.consoleshop.com/product.php?productid=16573&cat=292&page=1

it looks like it might work but i have no idea or exp in opening up a phat psp so i dunno... if anyone has a broken LCD they dont need i could take off the backlight and see if it works ...

or anyone know a way i can power up my backlight withought the psp? like using some kind of battery? im pretty sure the backlight still works but the end of the ribbon dosent stand a chance of going back in the psp's mobo (without solder some wire to it or something). i dont have a multimeter (or really kno how touse one for that matter  :-[)
someone told me its simply a positive/negative connection  so i should be able to right? (prolly couldnt control the brightness or anything though...)

thnx
