Skating (ON A BOARD!!!)
« on: May 29, 2008, 07:50:14 PM »
I've been skating for a long time, I don't remember exactly how long.  I love to skate, but I've been thinking about quitting since I suck at tricks and can't even pull off a kickflip.  Do you guys think I should stop skating or should I keep on doing it anyway? :dntknw:  I still want to skate, but like I said, I suck at tricks and that's starting to discourage me from continuing to skate.  Any words of advice on helping me decide would be great.
Thanks

skating is like  :censored: you dont have to be good to ejoy it just dont expect praise from others, lol,no for real if you like it keep at it tricks arent the only thing you can do on a board, streetsurfing long bords downhill and transportation are all funn too.dont get discouraged and keep practicing is the only way to get better. when i was younger it took me two years to land an ollie(sad i know)i could do pop shove its and heel flips but that tookeven longer than ollies.

just keep skating if you enjoy it. I skated in like 7th grade, but  i longboard now. You should try longboarding. you dont have to do anytricks and you can go sooooo fast especially down big hills.

Good luck

I used to skate a lot for about 7 years i was able to do trick really well too; once i impossible a 7 set and landed so clean, sorry no (poc, lol) but then my ankles got really week and i would skate the same spots. Eventually i got board and the women dont like skater unless there emos so i quit, but i regret it ever day because i sit at home every day playing ps3,psp,xbox360,and ds dieing on m,y sofa instead of getting the thrill of landing a trick.

Skating isnt about tricks, its about getting somewhere.

Skating is like driving, you can use it to just go places, or get fancy and go nowhere lol.

In the end, its a hellofalot faster and cooler than walking.
