Something is causing a short or the motherboard died. That happened to me before and the motherboard just stopped working after a sound mod.  The green light just flashes a sec then shuts off.

Maybe a wire got loose. Take PSP apart and check for loose wires.

I wouldn't try bridging the power fuse because its obvious that the PSP can turn on. I'd try taking out the mod and checking for frayed wires or and wires extending on to the motherboard

i bridged my power fuse, its still bridged and mah psp works fine lol
it seems u might have a short on ur mobo somehwere, if its actualy turning on but freezing then some chip or sumthing on the mobo could be messed up, might be alot of work to figure out whats wrong tho...

I mean because when the power fuse is blown the PSP doesn't turn on at all, his does so there is no need to and it can lead to your motherboard frying

please correct me if i'm wrong but a little while ago, someone said there is a speaker fuse on the mobo. if that had blown could that be causing the problem. like i said, i'm not sure but it's worth a look.

i think there is a speaker fuse, except wut would that have to do with the entire psp not working..
although that makes sence and could be the cause
ofcourse were jus making a bunch of educated guess's so, use at own risk =P

So you said it ran long enough to get into the install ?????? and then died ?

If that is so then look at the address data lines. It starts to go into restore mode then dies tells me the motherboard is not fried. It can run just gets lost.

Am I getting this correct ?

Which software are you trying to restore the PSP with ?

Are you using UPMS installer ?

Cementario ?

I just wanted to know if you run any other option does it brick or only the restore ?

Also the boards are normally very clean, take the best magnifying glass you can and inspect the board
from one end to the other very carefully. Look for anything that looks out of the ordinary.

Did you take the board out of the PSP completely ? Where did you do it ? Did you use a static wrist strap ?

I have seen boards that have no mods done to them get damaged by static electricity run for weeks and then
suddenly die.
