Right, I finished modding my router yesterday (pics when I get dads phone) and I needed wire to use for the LEDs. I know you lot all recommend 30AWG and I found an old IDE cable and thought it must be about 30AWG and it tuns out it was 28. So I used that, so is that an alternative to 30AWG? Cause I'm sure most of us have plenty lying around, it's pretty easy to use.

Also, on routers, the 1234 LEDs are "dual" they light up orange if they have a 10Mbps and green if they have the typical 100Mbps, they are like either 0603 LEDs but they are square, like two stuck together, any idea what these are called, and a UK supplier? They have four pins on them, looks like two for orange and two for green to me, would substituting for two 0603's be OK?

Thanks.

Edit: found them, Bi-Color 0603's will I be able to use my 40watt iron to solder them, or should I get a cheap 20w off eBay cause I'm modding a DS Lite soon anyway?

You can use any wire. We just recommend using 30AWG because of it's thin-ness and flexibility. 28AWG is good too. Most led suppliers would have a section for dual smd leds I'm sure. But yes, you can use 2 0603s instead.
