psp mod ideas
« on: July 18, 2008, 10:34:25 PM »
Hey, about a week ago i fixed my psp unbricked and replaced the lcd, now I am planning on modding it.
--
I have 50 SMD leds 10x blue, red, yellow, green, white also I am awaiting my full transparent psp housing and there is a possibility that I might pull out the UMD drive because it has stopped working
I have 3.71 M33-2 and when my battery charges I am putting 3.90 M33-3 like I have on my god of war slim psp

I would like any suggestions and I will consider all or most of them, thank you

depends how confident you feel you are at modding. try adding leds to the triggers first and try the usb power mod. there easy mods to try out. be warned tho, if you use red leds you'll need to add a few resistors as they run on a lower voltage (blow 20 of them before i realised that). apart from that you could add a jewel to the umd door, or add extra speakers inside the umd drive (seeing as your going to remove the drive anyway).

I would recommend do the USB Mod first, then go onto LED's ect. They can be hard to solder for a begginer

well I am pretty confident as a modder and I have already drilled the triggers for the leds, I dont know about red leds because I am not sure how much resistors are, also I dont know where to get UMD jewels, if you could tell me?

You can go here for jewels- http://wiredinput.com/ShopJewels/

And resistors are relatively cheap. You can get at radioshack  :psp:

Good luck

you can get resistors at radioshack. Its like a couple of bucks for a pack of 10. Make sure to get the right ones. 10ohm.

funny thing guys I was doing the usb charge mod and I accidently had part of the solder go on 2 prongs instead of 1 so when I plug it in it wont charge, my computer says it uses to much power but I am going to re-solder it  when I get my new housing but that was hard work because I melted part of the usb plastic part   treemty=idiot#1 :#1:

hey treemty not to be a  :censored: or anything but you're sig is way too big, use img tags to make it smaller or it'll piss off the mods and admins.

just use [img width=400] at the start and [ /img] at the end without the space between the [ and the /.
