After making the Scorpion Sig last night I figured I would make some more.

that affect is actually very easy to accomplish Photoshop.

I once made a full website using that effect and the circuit board look. I might do it again for my personal website I am making.

Its actually a few stacked together.

Ill try and give the steps.

Start a new layer then apply the following steps.
  • Filter >Render > Clouds
  • Filter >Pixelate > Mezzotint (set to short lines)
  • Filter >Blur > Radial Blur (set to Zoom, Best Quality, Amount = 100)
  • Copy the layer
  • Layer1 > Filter > Distort > Twirl (set to your liking going CW)
  • Layer2 > Filter > Distort > Twirl (set to your liking going CCW)
  • Select Layer1 and hit Ctrl+U to create a Hue/Saturation (select Colorize then adjust the settings to your liking.)
  • Give Layer1 a Blending mode of lighten (this will let you see Layer2
  • Select Layer2 and hit Ctrl+U to create a Hue/Saturation (select Colorize then adjust the settings to your liking.)

Since you are using the Cloud effect as the base of this it can be completely random or you can use the Difference Clouds and have some what control.

To get the effect I got I then took both of the layers copied then and flipped them vertical.
