T-T my psp doesn't have icons...

I turned on my psp after installing leds and the psp turns on and the sony logo appears and boots up to the moving background, but after that it just stays at the background and the icons don't appear. i've tried pandoras battery-ing it but it didn't work.  please help.

I just read another thread like this. I can't remember who posted the solution but I take no credit for this just passing it on
Apparently there is a little white switch in the UMD drive that tells the system there is a UMD in the drive. Sometimes it gets stuck down and the system is trying to read from a UMD upon boot but there is nothing in there. Look in the drive and you should see a little pressure switch if you can get some rubbing alcohol in there and get it free. that MAY solve you problem.
