Hi. I replaced the case on my brothers DS months ago. It started developing a fault where the screen was blank and if you pushed it right up (opened fully) it would come on and work fine.
Anyway, I never got round to doing this, and now it's completely gone, all white.
Dad pulled it apart in attept to fix, failed didn't know what to look for so I had a look, the ribbon cable is a bit bent up, not too bad, bit screwed though.
Reckon it's that? It it pushed right in and the DS stays on. I haev cleaned connections. It has faint colour on the screen in random places, DS still works, just no top screen.
Ribbon cable is six quid off eBay, reckon I should just buy one?
