Clear Phat button replacements...
« on: March 18, 2009, 10:29:47 PM »
I have been looking around at some places that carry the translucent button replacments (not crystal clear, I want the ones that have a bit of a foggy clear to them so when they light up, the light fills the whole button, not just shoot out of the button and go into the sky!).

What do you guys think of this set?  (I am looking to get them as cheap as possible at this point)

Hard to make the buttons work?  What are they saying is wrong with them?

Also, can anyone make me a deal on 50 green 0603 SMD LEDs?  $10 for shipping 50 TINY LEDs is just stupid.  I have $20 left in my PayPal right now, and I am wanting to get the LEDs and the clear buttons for my next mod.  Can anyone make me an offer or a deal?

I just recieved 50 red and 50 white leds from them today and they are great

So maybe I would just have to shave them down a bit to be the same general shape and such of the original buttons, and it should work?

I will probably look back at that eBay listing again, once I sell some stuff from my auction (still waiting on 4 people to make up their minds!)  I only have $10 left in PayPal right now, so I am broke!  lol

i have those buttons i took some fine sandpapper and kinda sanded the extra plastic around the d-pad buttons cause they stuck a little every now and then and it seemed to fix them and they work well when i get this white psp back together for someone i am puttting them in i will post it and show you how they look just waiting on mobo for it  in the pics you might be able to tell where i had to sand a little down

And you dont really have any problem with them now?  If thats the case i might go ahead and get them.  Doing a little work to make them function is ok.
