STORY... IF YOU DONT CARE, SKIP IT... but ur a meanie =P (gf's words, not mine)Heh, so do any of you remember the 7 color trigger led mod i did? well that was my first PSP, i did loads of mods to it and it was such a great companion ^-^
Later on i bought another phat for 30 bucks cause it had a broken screen, i fixed it with a spare i had, well, now that one is my main machine =], not that it was better or anything
sometime during hurricane IKE's touchdown in Galveston, TX, while my power was out (it was out for 2 weeks btw...) i was playing Flatout and all the sudden my 7 color led chip died, they just kinda freaked out then never came back on (oh well, worse things were going on for me to care)
for about 6 months i didnt touch either PSP, kinda upset about the chips demise
a week ago, my neighbor brought me a PSP to fix (also a phat) and all the sudden im in my modding mood again
i tried to see what was up with the chip, but eventually just removed it (not like i carry it around anymore for me to show off anyway)
i decided i wouldnt put it back together (plz dont cry, i know its sad, lol)
INSTEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!......

Cintiq Wacom Screen - 1000$
Sounds like savings to me! =]]
this works because ive taken the metal backing off of the screen which allows the magnetic 'conversation' between the pad and the pen, to continue as it would normally, unobstructed
the screen was a bit thicker than the plastic, so i dropped the wacom circuit board down into the bottom a little more, which also made more space for the mother board
TODO: get rid of powerboard, use usb hub so only one usb cord is required, finish chassis
HERES UR FIRST PIX!
Its honestly up to you if this is a PSP mod, or an abomination =P
