ipod screen question

ok this is the story my freind found an i pod touch and the screen was cracked and apple wont fix it for him and i found a scree for an ipod 2nd gen cheap and his ipod is a 2nd gen will it work and if not is there a website to get cheap screens from for the ipod

look up ifixit , they might have it ... also , AFAIK , Apple might not fix it under warranty but they really should if you pay them...

yeah, ifixit is a great source for ipod repair parts, and yeah, apple will fix it, but you will have to pay for it...

I would also agree with ifixit.  Great site.  Though if you do some hunting, you  may be able to find someone on a forum somewhere that can do it for less/sell you spare parts for less.

What in god's name made you think an iPod 2nd Gen screen would work with the iTouch?

iFixit is, like they said, a good place to get screens from. Yallstore.com is another.
