Where to get custom PCB Boards
« on: May 04, 2009, 04:52:02 PM »
Well I started to learn basic now and I have managed to write a code for a quick reload for cod 5. But now I'm interested in making a gears of war 2 active reload with 3 or 4 modes possibly rapid fire too. I will try it on the cg controller first then I can maybe do it on a matrix by shorting the 2 lines that make up the bumper on matrix controller. And if I do come around into making this I will maybe sel theseon custom pcb boards. And I wanted to know where mike bought his pcb's at?

I think Mike did the chips and the isntall and everything, but I'm pretty sure Chives, Cyber, and maybe Gameroms and Modded Matt worked up the code.

>_>
PCB BOARDS, not the pic itself
you can get them custom made from online shops, or custom engrave them yourself with a CNC mill, or you can get an etching kit.

ok, there are so many options for PCBs it isnt even funny.

Mike used Imagesco prototyping services (not advertised, email for details)

I am partial to pcbnet aka imagineering board house (this is a big time company but they are great to work with and offer huge first time customer discounts)

I also use pcbexpress quickturn service from sunstone if I need em quick and am going to cut them out myself.

There is also expressPCB which is a quickturn service that is probably the most popular amongst the DIY community as they have there own software for laying out the boards.(similar to matts suggestion)

Overall you should be able to find some good discounts as a new customer depending on who you use.
