So what if they are ports ? A good game is a good game.... Also lets see- Resistance retribution is a side story not a port, Motorstorm: arctic storm is not a port, Tekken 6 (u cant really call is a port) , Monster Hunter is not a port.........

okay i did my decision to update from 5.02 to 5.03 yesterday night since i was curious on the HEN .. i guess i didnt do anything wrong with updating but it makes me worried since 5.03 was a patch revision for the gripshift exploit, so i basically f*ckd my psp but if Davee and his crew get the HEN to work without buggs then its truly a great day for all homebrew society, all sad people (like myself) that bought psp3000 will have a new light to look up to, so i innerly hope davee wont encounter any more issues with the HEN and that the developement can go on in an advancing rate, everyone hold your thumbs for this!!

you know I almost upgraded to 5.5 but I remembered that I still had 5.2 so I downloaded 5.3. But now there's another problem I did everything right but when I get to the tiff it crashes!

Try Popping the memory card into a camera, and snap a couple pictures.

Leave them on the card, and try it again.

I also find that you have to move down, up, than down.

I have the timing memorized, so you'll have to play around.

After all, it's hit and miss.

Pull out your battery to be sure you do a full hard boot if you are in doubt.

This loads itself into the flash on the reboot, so it shouldn't be there on a hard boot.

ah darkshot you were right, but it survived a full 5sec shutdown oddly.. that should reset the flash too if im not wrong, anyways do you think we could use this exploit in a way to write codes into the motherboard too?.. it may be risky as to brick the psp.. but if it could lead to custom firmware .. then it would be great for all 3k users!

no this can't be used to enable custom firmware atleast not yet coz it does not give sufficient access as of now.

Its because of the pre-IPL check that KIRK does on boot. If it doesnt pass the check then it goes back to the previous step to check, causing it to loop. Because of this, CFW wont load as of now.

Here this will explain what jhappens when it first boots.

as you can see the PSP 3000 and the PSP 2000 with TA-088v3 motherboards have the new CPU which if it does not have the right checksum it will loop forever.

That is why we cannot install CFW on a 3k or a 2k with the TA-088v3 motherboard.

Also if you have a slim or phat waith TA-088v2 or lower you can install CFW with this.

Also this DOES give full access to the PSP 3000s Flash.
