psp help need!!!! ribbion broken

hey people we i was reparing my psps charging port and did no problem until.... i had to put the screen back on and droped my psp 

it had broken my psp's ribbion (the small one) that connects the screen to the motherboard. i only broke the little black clip on it, the mother board is fine.

is there any chance i can get it fixed by myself. i have read a few threads about it but i dont have a hot glue gun to sick it on

could i use electrical tape? if so how would i go about doing it? i dont plan on opening my psp again so... any help will be welcome also i think the small one is for the backlight so can i just ignore it ?

If you are talking about the backlight connector, then don't worry. I usually break them off after a while....sometimes..anyway

It should be fine just to slide the cable back in there w/o any tape. You can use tape if you'd like, but I've had no troubles out of mine at all

its the skinny wire that coes from the lcd screen nothing is wrong with it its just the clip on the board is snapped off in short but only  :beg:he little black bit ok?

but dont both need to be connected to the board before i get a picture on the lcd screen?

cause i put the big cable in clided down and powered on but no picture? so i guess i need both pluged in to work?

any tape will do it? or will i need electical tape? thanks for the help as long as its fixable and so i dont have to buy a new motherboard i will live with it ;

I did that one my first psp mobo.
just slide it under there and put electrical tape over it.

thanks am just off to the store to grab some tape (my one i have is nasty looking)

ok so all i do is just put the little clip in gold side done? just checking
then place a wee but of plastic to hold it down or will just tape do the job?

tape should work or like was said a little wedge(paper or plastic) just to put pressure on it. by the way it sounds that should do the trick. glue i found to be more of a hassle. and no they dont both need to be attached to work, the big one works but you cant see b/c the backlight is not shining through. i had this problem with my lappy. i had to turn it at the right angle so the light would shine on it to see the pic. the back light connector came loose, works now though.
