I usually dont ask people for opinions, because I like everything the way I want it! lol but I have been looking at laptops for college. And I have been very interested in the Falcon NorthWest Custom Laptops and this is what i have come up with.

yeah, the falcon laptop is Core i7 and the highest you can get on a MacBook is Core 2 Duo. I spec'd out a 17" MacBook PRO

Core2Duo - 3.02 GHz
8GB Ram
125GB SSD
a few other goodies.

and the price came out to- $3,860
and honestly for an extra $1000 I can get a CUSTOM made laptop with everything I want plus some.
The only downside that I have found is even with the Dual Battery Pack on the falcon system you only get 90-120 runtime minutes (with DVD playback)

amazing system dude... Also , i don't particularly like the macbook too ha ha.
I won't consider the battery a downside though... You can't expect this beast to do better in that department.
