Yes, but it's a pain in the ass, you need a magnifying glass and a VERY stead hand. also, that works if the connectors there. If there's no connector, there's no way.

If he broke the backlight or LCD connector. Yes, it is possible, but you will need to solder from each pad or pin to each corresponding contact on the ribbon cable. If you broke the backlight connector, the connector for the small, thin ribbon cable, then you only need to solder the left and right pins to the left and right contacts on the ribbon cable, and you don't have to solder to the two middle contacts.

It is possible without the connector, but VERY hard to do unless it is for the backlight.

Piece of cake, if your ZIF is damage and removed, you have a free surface to solder the Flex cable.

HINT: Use soldering paste for clean and safe soldering.

Apply soldering paste on Flex cable contact, and put soldering lead to your soldering iron and wipe it to the Flex contact.

Then apply soldering paste to the Motherboard where ZIF was removed. Then put soldering lead to soldering iron and wipe it to the ZIF contact of mobo.

remove the brown plastic at the back so that you can easy see the solder part.
