Steam Clan pic

I have not used ps in for ever but for my clan on steam I decided to make a new pic. It is pretty terrible ha.
The name of my clan is R4z3R, I mostly play mw2 hence the design but it looks jagedy. And to make it worse the clan pic is only in a square design so I had to rezise it into a squarish pic lol, looks bad but I am proud.
Do you guys have any tips on getting a better cut with the lasso tool, I used to be really good at it but not so much now. Thanks

you should try and use the blur tool to try and make the edges a little softer or make it blend more with the background.

but other then that...its pretty good.

and for the better cut problem.

after you cut it out, copy it to a different file, then use then zoom and either erase/lasso the extra edges out of it untill you think its nice.. then use that one as your final.

Also when you cut the dude out, reduce his amount of gamma (brightness) because he doesn't look like hes in a dark room. Or at least put some sort of lighting around like a spotlight, would be cool.
