psp disassembly help /umd help

I have been following the PSP Slim and Lite Disassembly and Clear Case Tutorial By Kenshinffx and when , I got down to the weird ribbon clamp for the UMD I think it is for , the black plastic itself for the clamp has slid out of the clamp  but it is still in 1 piece, so does this mean it will just be able to be pushed back in when fitting the clear case??? or is my UMD drive now ****** because of it ?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking.
Is the black plastic piece from the female connector, or the male cable?
Some in focus pictures would help a lot

If the ZIF connector has come off a little from the actual mobo, then your UMD is toast.
You still can play games from a mem stick though.
