Using Canned Air To Clean Inside Of PSP, Please Help.
« on: June 21, 2010, 09:02:41 AM »
When im replacing or repairing the inside of a PSP, would spraying canned air on the LCD and inside faceplate and quickly reassemble, would that stop dust from settling inside the console ?

If so, how would i stop dust from getting under the faceplate and LCD.

Thanks

well a lot of psp owners go thru this i had this problem my self the only way is stop was when i started to put away my psp on a case for better work a sealed case will prevent mini dust balls.
and dont put away in your pockets with out the case i notice when i put my psp away in my pockets with no case  little particles will go inside so try it and you see the difference take it from me i own over 40 psp"s  and welcome to acidmods you will learn a whole lot  :victory:

the dust gets in through the nub, button holes, plugs and ports. its imposible to stop it completly, as lobo said all you can do is take precautions not to get any dust in it. compressed air through the dpad or buttons wont hurt none, but may not help much either.

I think you have the wrong end of what im trying to say here.
Im talking about taking the faceplate off my brand new PSP 2000 fixing the speakers, then reassembling, would spraying canned air on the LCD and faceplate and quickly reassembling stop the dust from settling inside the faceplate and on the inside of the screen ?

yes it should if you are quick, but small amounts of dust are still going to get in there through the button holes.
