Will a PSP 2000 shell contain a 3000's internals?

Hey everyone- I bought a Crisis Core limited edition housing set and wondered if it is possible to put a 3000's guts inside a 2000's shell. I'm pretty handy with a dremel and electronics in general. I love the screen of the 3000 and that's the primary reason for my "modding". Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!!!

ive done recasing for both 2000 and 3000 and they are almost alike but also very different the 3000 seemed to have way less screws, but you might beable to do somthing to make it fit but it wont be like a regular psp lol

Thanks for your input!!! I think I may just stick with the 2000 then but I'm 49/51 in favor of attempting the 3000. What I may do is just do the 2000 to 2000 first then attempt the 3000 to 2000 at a later time. If and (most likely-) when I do the 3k inside the 2k I'll post some progress pics and info/tips. Until then anyone's feedback is golden.
