your disk drive has failed. get a newone, but you must swap the mobo's so the new drive will have the proper FW

what kind of drive is it? have you tried cleaning the laser? if its a lite-on drive may need to tweek the pot with an ohm meter. alot of problems with lite on drives , I had 2 that had same problem,

hi friend i have the same problem but mine is weird is will read the disk but no let the disk boot up aka having to play it off the hardrive lol sometimes i have to phisically punch it on the top for it to read but this is the funny thing lol it will install to the hardrive from that dvd drive 100 percent what a joke also i found taking the hardrive out and puting it in again acouple of times works also heres a nifty little website to find what drive you have for a replacment hope this helps you friend

i have a benq v603 lol rare i no also try taking the cover off the dvd drive and video the laser spining up this will help us help been doing my research lol im entering my xbox in the mod off dunno what im going to do with it lol probs just a nice spray job lol

just fixed the problem there wa something wrong with the lens so i replaced it with another drive and it works like a charm
