Im A noob, help me with leds, and speakers!!! Please!!!
« on: March 02, 2011, 03:49:47 PM »
Hello, i am new to this and have searched around and couldnt find the answers to my questions.  :beg:

ok. i want to get a 40mm speaker, and replace the umd with it. i want to hook up 4 5mm leds to the speaker, and make it sound reactive.

Then i want to put 1 smd led in each of the triggers. And 1 smd in each speaker hole. (2 holes)

my questions:
1. How much resistors will i need, for which leds, and how much ohm.
2. is there any way i can protect my lcd from getting messed up with the speaker in place of the umd drive?
3.will i need to remove one of my original speakers to put in the 40mm speaker?
4.if the answer to the above question is yes, then how much speakers can i hook up? i have 2 extra psp speakers, wondering if i can have 2 of miy speakers, 2 extra psp speakers, and one big 40mm speaker. thanks.

AND I AM NEW! SO SORRY IF THE QUESTIONS ARE EXTREMELY NOOBISH! I JUST STARTED MODDING LAST WEEK, AND REALLY LIKE IT.  :victory:

read the artical or search for one like it you can better understand. You have not provided us with near enough   information to make the determination you are asking for.

I will help you get started, the main power outputs on the psp are 5v and 3.5v depending on if you pull from the power board or the main mobo. (assuming yur using a psp phat)
