Where do i start for Programming?
« on: June 23, 2011, 01:40:31 PM »
Hey, i want to learn how to program rapid fire/other controller mods, but i don't know where to start off. Could some people possibly point me into the right direction?

I am going to admit, i will probably use this as a way to make money soon but i plan to use my own codes in order to do so.

So after clearing that up, if anyone is still wanting to pssibly help me out. Please do so...  :victory:

Hyper,

Google "opensource assembly code explained". The first result is a guide written by hazer, who released free opensource rapid fire code. I followed the guide and looked stuff up in the datasheet, that is how I learned to code fit the pic chips.

Using the datasheet is key to learning things about your MCU.
Though it doesn't teach very much about Syntax.

If your experienced in C. You could try a C compiler also!!

It depends seems to me like some people have a knack for it and sort of "get it" and get going quite quickly, but others have to work a lot harder to get going.

The key is patients :)
