how would i figure out what pins to use on a laptop inverter board.
I want to use the ccfl bulb to light a case i am working on.

well thanks exacly what i also wanted to do. most laptop inverters have 4 to 6 wires. gnd vcc 12v, enable, 0-3.5v for brightness controls.

here is some info here. and 95% of laptops use this configuration. so just get a voltmeter and start pokeing around. most of the time. the 12 pin is connected to a fuse in the board.

do not connect 12v to ground and ground to 12v(flip the cables) because it will probably ruin the inverter.


i would like to hear how it goes. i was making a light box with some ccfl tubes and a broken lcd lol.
