Ethernet port help
« on: November 20, 2011, 06:12:31 PM »
Hey, so i got an xbox used free, seemed in perfect order, no RROD or anything like that except that the ethernet port didnt work. so i ended up just buying a wireless and using it. now i'm getting around to trying to actualy diagnose why and whatnot.

honestly i'm not sure where to start, but i tried pulling the wireless adapter off and trying to "DIAGNOSE PROBLEMS" or whatever. but it says it cant even detect a cord. now whenever i first got it i remember it could detect a cord and give me an error code, unfortunately i dont have it written anywhere. i also havent had a chance to try it with a different cord (untill tomorrow afternoon then i will) to see if its a port problem or a board problem or what.

i guess i just need general guidance on what to do and in basically what kind of order
