how do you actually make a jtag?

so ive looked around the interwebs and ive found tuts but i mean there for freaking rocket scientists (atleast the ones I've found) so if anyone could give me a link to somthing that is understandible with a part list and all that would be amazing

i prob won't do a JTAG but this whole business intrigues me

FIRST STEP
check the dash version on your xbox
second parts list are you wanting the faster usb version or parrallel port version
simply 1 can take 19 hours 1 takes minuetes to dump the xbox info.
usb better... choice.
on ebay there are loads of usb nand jtags very cheap much cheaper than to buy seperate parts.
but if ya mad enough to buid one yaself google spi nand jtag and also use microchip.com for frre chips beats paying 6 quid when you can get a free SAMPLE lol

get a team xecuter nand X kit its a usb nand tool comes with the jtag hook ups for all mobo's and they have tuts on their site
