Hello!

Frist sorry for my bad English & thanks to a lot of info.

I have a problem, my little nefew have movility problem in his right hand, He need 6 month to recover from his surgery.

He loves 360's game but he has promblems to play and i would like make a rapid fire on ABXY buttons

I have some doubts:

1º With the PIC 12F683 only can manage 2 button, or can i manage more?

2º ¿only have to solder this points?

I know this is suuuuppperrr late, but no one else has responded to this, so I'm just going to say, I know for sure that it's a lot harder than the diagram you posted, but I'm not exactly sure about coding or wiring or anything like that. Sorry. I hope your nephew gets better soon!

I was looking for a code to do rapid fire on my A and B buttons.  I tried to just solder the wire from the RT / LT pins on my rapid fire chip to the A button Pad (cg controller) and the chip will not turn on.  Obviously this will not work.  Since codes like ROBBO 3 jitter solders to a PAD to make the Y button PULSE - I was hoping that just swapping the wire would work, but obviously not. seems as if pins on the rapid fire chip will work on the Triggers but not on pads. Seems that the coding is different. 

Anyone have a simple hex code that would allow me to rapid fire on the A or B buttons.  Press the A or B and the button rapid fires?

So, the ABXY buttons work by grounding out the inputs (for CG). A chip can send a RF signal to the inputs to ground them, but it cannot UNground a button that is being physically pressed. In order to RF those buttons on the button will require cutting traces on the CG. As for the matrix, it operates at 10kHz and would also require cutting traces.

There is no code to do this.

OK let me ask this?

ON ROBBO3 Jitter hex.  You press the RT while it is depressed Pin 5 pulses the Y button.  Obviously If I connect the wire to the A button it does the same thing, but it also sets off the RT as well as I have to activate the RT to make the Y button PULSE.

Is there a way I can create a button that will let the rapid fire chip know I am pressing a button and then pulse the pin 5 to Y (which I will switch to A) , but the button is not connected to any other button on the controller so it don't activate another button.

Example.. Jitter on ROBBO3 HEX is.

RT,Y,Y,RT

You press the RT and it just pulses the Y.

Is there a way I can add a button on the back that is not a DUPLICATE of the the RT. When I press it the chip still thinks it is the RT. so It pulses the Pin 5 that is connected to Y - but in my case I would connect it to A?

It's an Idea. I am wondering if the GURUs here can confirm if something like this would work.  If so - How do you go about making a tact switch that acts like a RT but is not actually a LT or RT, but tricks the chip in to doing it's YY routine for Jitter?

I would think that since The Triggers on the CG go Hi to fire and are 1.5v max, you would need to set it up so that rapid fire chip, while throwing 3v into it constantly, would act as if it is truly hooked up to the RT or LT and then would allow the chip to do it's YY PULSE off of Pin 5 (which I would connect to the A button).

How you get a tact switch to act as LT or RT without actually being one is beyond me.  Perhaps Hazer or RDC or someone else might have an idea on this one?

How you would wire that I can do. Will it work with the coding gunna ask hazer or maybe hyper. But anyways How I think it would work is if you ran a tact from a ground pin. Because the triggers on cg pull the ground to V,  thats the resistance coming out the 3rd pin. So if you use a tact hooked to ground , with other leg going to the input on the chip. It should work. Ground triggers chip, chip triggers a or b or we. I think a diode should go in somewhere , not awake enough yet.

Is all you want to do is rf 1/couple buttons correct?

Can he use a ps3 style rf design? Transistor diode etc...

Since HAzer said you cannot rapid fire a button (ABXY) by holding it (which I understand now).  I was thinking of tricking the button by using a jitter code.

Robbo3 jitter chip should be perfect. 

The only thing is getting the chip to think RT is pressed, without RT activating, so it rapid fires the (a) button for me using the pin meant for the (y) button on jitter mode.

I think that would work.  I just need confirmation and a tutorial or a walk through of how and what to connect to the Tact.

I would test a tact hooked to ground/chip, and put a diode on the output of the chip to the button.
The reason I bring up ps3 rf, is cause the ps3 uses a transistor in between the chip and the button. Which I think a similar solution might work here. I am not sure if the timings for the jitter will work on a button.

Well Robbo3 jitter is fully adjustable.  SO I would be able to find a speed that would work fine.
I know that it already works so to speak.  I already took the wire from PIN 5 that goes to the Y pad and hooked it up to the A button and when I press the RT it rapid fires the A button for me and it creates the desired result.  Only problem is the game I am playing requires that the RT not activate as well.  SO when I push RT to make the A button rapid fire, it also shoots off some other weapons that are linked the RT and creates a situation for me I do not want.  I need for the A button to work like it does with I push the RT but not have the RT shooting off the secondary weapon it is connected to.  I need to be able to use the RT when I need to while the A button is rapid firing.  I think you get the idea.  SO I know that the concept works.  Now if I can get the RT part of robbo3 chip to activate in the jitter mode using a tact button without setting off any oher button on the controller It would be perfect.  How to do that is again what I need help with if it is possible.

I am not at my workshop so I cannot just try it, I am back home and the wife don;t allow solder guns and such in the house - that is why she had me build a workshop which is a mile away.  I will try it in the morning.  But for now just running ideas around in my head and looking for some help if possible.

Would it possible to make a simple code that will pulse a A B X Y button on a cg controller like jitter does, but does not activate from another button on the controller but activates from a tact switch?

I would pay someone to code me up a simple 12f683 code that allowed me to turn it on and off with sync, lit up to led when it was it on to show it was on, and allowed a tact switch to tell the chip to pulse (rapid fire) the Pad I connect the wire to. I would need 4 modes 5, 10, 15, 20 SPS (or pulses per second) or something that would be easily adjustable like robo3 code is where you do a LT+SYNC to get into programming mode. Use LT RT and sync to adjust the shot speed and then used RT+SYNC to save, just like robbos code.

If someone out there could do something like this for me - let me know.  Feel free to PM me.





JUST ADDING AN UPDATE.

I secured a chip that will rapid fire any of the ABXY buttons - you can only do one button per chip and you must add a TACT SWITCH TO ACTIVATE THE RAPID FIRE, BUT FOR $20 BUX FOR A Quick custom code, I cannot complain.  I wanted it for my A button. SO my A button still works as normal even if the MOD is on, but while the mod is on if I press the tact switch it will auto press the A for you.

I also did not have the chip made to programmable (to set your own speed) but there are 4 MODES 5,10,15,20 PPS (presses per second)  Seems to work really well.

PS: CG only...
