Most definetly it is messed up...

Thats why I am not sure that my scratches on the plastic to the eject button did anything (hard to see because very dark in there, and I just assumed I had cut a trace).

Well, my own fault, I should have found out more about the stickers, the procedure to take it apart etc, and I should NOT have done this work at 5AM int he morning without sleep. Complete brainfart on my part..

If they dont replace it, and wants me to pay for repairing it, I will ask they send it back, and I will take it apart, repair it myself, and then mod it asap.

UPDATE: They found the xbox to be faulty (my scratches did not cause it) and a new one is shipped to me today.

UPDATE 2013-02-21: Got the new console today, same manufacture date, and seems to be same drive. Not much to say at the moment other than that.

DG-16D4S or DG-16D5S if I look, without opening it, most likely. I know the DG-16D5S is problematic as you need to use an RGH mod to obtain the key for it.

the dg-16d5s would also require a TX LTU pcb board.

are you talking about the matrix freedom 1175?

No, I found it now, it was the team xecutor version :)

Looks promising.

Ok, just to make sure I get it right. DGX is only for RGH, so that you can get the CPU and DVD key. Which you then use to get the right keys to the custom firmware of the TX LTU replacement board for the dvd. And that will allow me to boot unsigned code, and backups.

I dont know why, but I am also a bit stuck on the x3ky that allows you to mount isos and use from a harddrive through USB instead of having to use any discs at all. Mainly because of the convenience of not having to get up out of the couch to the tv just to switch which game I want to play.

Yes the TX LTU Replacment board you will need for 1175 drive.  The Dgx is used to get the CPU key. you will only use that to get the CPU key.

Once you get the cpu key you will have to remove the dgx and replace it with the TX Cool runner. you may need other boards also being this is a newer slim. Corona Motherboards there are 4 different types of boards so verify what you have before  starting your Rgh process.

once you have the cpu key , J-runner will give you the dvd key so you can flash the New TX LTU replacement board.

Quite a lot of boards to get and replace just to modify a single xbox. I have to think about it for a while. Might be worth it if I am going to mod more than one.
