Adding USB-C to 2000 with big battery mod

Can I do the same thing with USB-C? I have done the big battery mod with an insten battery board.  On SudoMod's discord a guy suggested (I think) this: https://i.imgur.com/fxxECyB.jpg (the 5K1s are resistors). He warned still not to plug up to non compliant chargers (pixel, switch, galaxy 10).
