Corroded capacitor JDM-040
« on: August 13, 2022, 09:36:39 AM »
Hello! Everything will be OK.

I have a JDM-040 that had some minor liquid damage near the right analog stick. A capacitor in the area got corroded beyond salvation, and I was wondering if you could tell me what value I should replace it with. Please  :help:

I have donor boards, but the more I'm learning I've seen that I was able to fix some of them, and some others might still be fixable so I want to avoid taking it from them.

Thanks in advance   :help:

It's not a real critical value, you could put anything from 1uF to 10uF in there and it will be fine, 16v or more.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
