lcd screen help
« on: December 30, 2007, 07:19:37 PM »
well i got a new lcd screen it works great. But when i put my faceplate little waves keeps showing on my psp. But when i take off the faceplate they come off(some times it takes the homebar to be removed  so the waves can stop).  When i put the faceplate some times it works and theres no waves but when i press home or push on the arrows it comes back. Is there any way for me to fix this?

Did you remove any rubber pads from the mobo?

if a tab is a square piece of thick gray fabric then yes. you'll want to put that back on.

does the LCD seem bigger than the original, what is the site that you ordered it from?

anyways, make sure that the LCD is snapped in tight, you may want to take it out and snap it back in. apply little pressure around the edge with the faceplate off to see where it is being pushed too hard. just make sure everything is snapped in correctly, and nothing is taking up more space than it should, causing the faceplate to apply pressure on the LCD. you shouldn't have to even push the faceplate down to put it over your PSP, so if you can see what is sticking out, and you can't fix it, then trim away some of the interior area of the faceplate that is colliding with it.

this didnt happened before and i got the lcd screen from another psp. when that started to happened i push on the corner of the lcd cage or corner and it got back to normal. But i didnt force the faceplate on the psp i just put it like normal. Once i put the screws or i press the home button it goes to the waves. By the way i notice that the black fabric that you were talking about was coming off, It wont stick.

i don't think it's the same thing i was talking about, you probably don't need to worry about it.

i'm not really sure how to help, but just check around and make sure all the screws are where they should be, and none of the protective hardware is bent. if the lcd is popping out, then by all means put some tape around the corner.

might sut be that you have teh case on too tight. When you press the home button you are putting pressure on the screen and that is causing the screen to make the "waves".
you can't fix stupid
