problem cutting umd door
« on: January 20, 2008, 06:03:47 AM »
ive been trying to cut a clear umd door but ive been having trouble. ive been using a dremel and ive cut what sorta looks like a rough circle, but the material the clear door is made from is different from the oem door. when i try to dremel away it basically melts the plastic so it doesnt really look good. i have tried using a knife and running it around the edge but i keep slipping off and its useless

any tips?

i agree, try slowing down the dremel if you can, i usually like to play with plastic around setting 4 on my dremel, but thats not for more delicate work like this, its for ripping things apart lol

so i would say try using setting 2 or so.

you want it just spinning, and ofcourse you finish it off with sandpaper

i cut with low speed and then use sandpaper to make it a perfect circle

To all of you crying about lag and kicks, remember… when Jesus died, took him 3 days to respawn. Now THAT is lag.
