Wow I almost got scammed
« on: March 04, 2008, 04:27:02 PM »
Well today I just got home from lacrosse and I opened my emails. One of them being from a sender @paypal.com. So I open it and it says my account has been temporarily suspended. So I go and enter all of my information. And then I look at the url and I'm like HOLY  :censored: . Luckily I changed my password right after I realized what I had done.

To make a long story short, be careful about your e-mails.

OMG yea it could  have since I have a credit card linked with my paypal. And when I check the source it was some spanish church site. Funny how if it is really for a church (which I doubt) that they would be stealing.

EDIT: Oh yeah, here's the site it came from if anyone wants to check it out.

No clue but I'm surprised to see a church trying to steal people's personal information  .

there is a fake paypal site launched by some scammer/hackers/
they send you a mail to change your password and when you did they use it to get money from your account.

I wouldn't really call them hackers. Just some people who know how to copy a page source and re-route some stuff
