PSP phat vs PSP slim
« on: March 04, 2008, 01:04:06 PM »
Are there any drawbacks to either the slim or phat psp as far as modding goes? Which PSP has more space inside of it?. Also, assuming that I was willing to sacrofice the UMD drive which PSP model has more space in the back?

phat rises far above the slim model for hardware modding purposes due to its space, the slim only surpasses its nemisis, the phat, when you need to crack up a bit extra cpu and ram speeds

Dude IMO the slim has a 20’x20’ foot room hidden inside of it. Seriously there is a butt load more space then a Phat and it offers more physical firmware memory. The one major drawback however is that the slim uses FCS Circuits for the X [] 0 /\. So installing the razor is much harder to wire up, but doable. And since there is so much space I was able to mount it flush under the faceplate with room to spare.
