Is there any major differences between Photoshop and Fireworks?

I got Fireworks 8, found the install files on my harddrive (dunno how they got there >.>)...

I hear that Photoshop this Photoshop that. The layouts are bound to be different but are there any major feature in Photoshop, that aren't in Fireworks that is worth my, time searching for/money.

Fireworks is similiar but photoshop is actually more made for it, photoshop has a huge range of tools/effects that you can make anything out of, fireworks are to made like those last minute quick basic changes
