srry but almost didnt see the leds, bridging the resistors is dangerous to your sound card and it might blow, use the LM386 audio chip :hifive:
My psp without the chip:

And with the chip:

yes its so much better with lm386 you should also use 0603 leds instead of mini ones

Excuse a noob question but how do you know which is the - and the + on the speakers? On the right hand speaker, looking down at the mobo, the wiring seems to follow the norm i.e. red + black -. I was going to check the voltage before disassembling my PSP but forgot!

black wire goes to - terminal and grey goes to +

ok so i got my lm386 installed i like it because when there is no sound thy are both completely off then when there is sound they react. they are brighter than befor but i find that some songs that are loud and have a lot of background sound make the led just glow at brightest and slightly dim rapidly but i like them better this way

i didnt use any resistors just used the power and ground under the speaker port and the + - on the mobo for speaker out put

my blue 603 arent conected to the lm386 because im afraid to fry them and they are hot glued on so they are a  :censored: to get off without riping all the wires. i have some 10 ohm resistors is that enougf my lm386 is wired to a 5 volt source

i agree looks kind strange would look mint with like a ring of Leds in the door instead of 2 and they should be lm386ified lol :dribble:

if i put two 3mm leds, two 603s on one lm386 wired to a 5 volt source would one 10ohm resistor between the positive of the first 603 be enoughf to keef them from burning out fast as on my mod they are hard to replace?

id say it makes the psp almost twice as loud

my mate added a internal 1watt amplifer to his psp and has a massive speaker which mounts on the backdoor (but is like way to big for it) and he crancks it like 6 times louder than the original ones. Its awsome apart from the fact its real bulky and he cannot fit any more mods in his psp.
