PSP Modding Problems

Basicaly, i decided to get back into the PSP modding scene, so i got some old parts i had, some kynar and 0603 green leds, so i install 1 in each trigger, it worked perfectly, and i closed it back up, worked awesomeness, but the joystick did not work, and it wouldnt reach so i soldered some wires from the trigger to the joystick, then tested, it worked perfectly, then i installed the USB charge mod, then i closed it up for the day, it worked perfectly then too. So the next day i went to install a clear UMD door with a green led on the silver rim, without dismantaling the PSP itself (Just pryed out the umd door, and put it in and slipped the wires through a safe way where nothing will touch them). Then i soldered it all, worked perfecty, then i scratched the trace off of the hold switch so hold is disabled and I wired it to the hold switch, it worked perfectly, and then I closed it. It started working but then when i came back an hour later, the LEDs all stopped working, even the power led, but it still turns on, I tried many things to get it to work, replaced the Power Board, checked for shorts, rewired it all, even a new motherboard, new leds,  didnt work. Could anybody help me out?

EDIT: hey, what do you know, it works, thanks dubble dutch 
i also noticed there is a burnt part on the ribbon, that i must of accidently touched with the soldering iron

here's a tip

NEVER leave the ribbon cable on the powerboard when you are soldering

this way the heat cant burn the ribbon cable or you won't accidentaly touch it

I have had the same problem 2x, but after replacing the ribbon cable it still doesn't work.

u sure the ribbon cable you used to replace wasnt broken too ?

I had the same problem when I shorted something.
It was a client's psp and I didn't have time to order
and w8 for a new fpc.So I did it the hard way.
I soldered a wire to the psp mobo so the green
and orange led light up again.
It was a bit hard with my crappy tip. LOL

I finished 'unshorting' every open connection, because when i would put down the lcd holder, it would no longer work (the leds) but now ive enclosed it all. only problem now is that when i start it up, it doesnt show anything on the lcd screen.

Also, THIS IS SO ANNOYING NOW, everything im about to finish, something randomly goes wrong and holds me back

so the backlight doesnt turn on?

if so you should bridge the backlight fuse

Ok, turns out the backlight fuse is a-ok, checked with multimeter, and thing is, the actual screen, nothing comes up anyway, not sure why as well, its completely black, so its probaly not working, and i even tried a different screen

Just one Phen. The power supply for the led as the orange or green is selected from different GND's.
Follow the track of the fpc to the mobo and see where it ends and you'll see a tiny little square.
I scratched the insulation and soldered there so it functions like the track from the fpc never burnt!

That have never crossed my mind!Smart fix dude! I can tell it works as I said before green or orange is selected from GND's.The only problem can be frying the LED's because they use 3.3V and not 5V.But still that's a great find for a fix.
Really great one.
EDIT: Sorry Phen I also wanted to ask if it's bricked because if it's turning on and screen is black without backlight it might be a brick.You'd better wish for a brick because if it's not then you'd have trouble fixing it.
