connect ps3 controller thru usb?
« on: May 26, 2008, 05:01:50 PM »
I know you can connect the ps3 controller to a pc thru the usb controller and use it as a standard controller but can you do the same for the psp? The only reason I think this won't work is because the psp is not usb host so it can't control the ps3 controller. but if I'm wrong I want to know.

You can use the PS3 controller on the PSP via USBHost Redirection with IRShell.

That's not what I mean. I mean to connect it directly to the psp thru the usb cable no computer involved

I ask a question about this a long time ago and everyone said it wasn't possible. But what if someone programmed a USBHost-esq application that would reconize the PS3 controller and let it use it? Pretty crazy, but someone with a lot of time, a PS3 controller, and extencive programming knowlage should atempt this... You might be the new DAX, or not. :winker:
