Apple will not be stocking them, only the Phone Shops will, and instore activation will be required, when you take out a contract.

They should be instock that day, as some apple stores already have them to show off.

question: Is the iphone going to be jailbreakable?

Can you buy the iphone and then cancel your contract and keep your iphone?

Thanks for the sig dhuvrock2000

jailbreakable-im sure there is a way but will most likely take more time as the 2.0 beta is on apple.com
unlockable-no most likely not

i think it will be unlocked within a week or 2 from release as they have already jailbreaked the 2.0 beta firmwares etc using the pwnage method. so once they do that it wont be long before they unlock the phone and i would think that the using of turbo sims and the like will still work and let you get round the AT&T lock in

we know there the prices as they have been anounced same as in the uk the 8gb is £99 and the 16 is £149(i think)

and i know it will be harder to unlock hence why i said that it will take a week or two before you can as half the battle with unlocking the iphone is jailbreaking it and getting access to the firmware.

The Pay as you go iPhone 3G has been said to be around £400
cool that isnt to bad for a pay as you go smart phone thats 3g especially in the UK.
